Carolyn Hansen, Healer and Workshop Leader


Carolyn's passion and joy is healing and teaching.  Deeply intuitive and compassionate, Carolyn is sensitive to each person's uniqueness. She possesses a profound respect for and appreciation of cultural distinctions, after having lived and worked in Europe and Asia and traveled in more than 40 countries.

A lawyer by training, Carolyn holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters in International Law (LL.M) degree from the University of Brussels, Belgium.

On the professional and world stage, Carolyn’s commitment to healing and peace is reflected in her participation, from 1999 to 2006, on the board of the International Alliance of Holistic Lawyers, in the Therapeutic Jurisprudence organization and in the Comprehensive Law movement.

While living in Taiwan, Carolyn taught Chan (Zen) medita
tion at a large monastery there, from 1997 through 1999. To further her practice in the psycho-spiritual healing arts, Carolyn studied at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, where she completed its 4-year program, its 2-year Advanced Studies in Education program, and its 2-year Integration Practitioner training.

Carolyn is a certified Brennan teacher and Brennan workshop leader and a credentialed Complementary Medicine Practitioner of Brennan Healing Science at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, New York. She maintains a private healing practice in Stone Ridge, New York.
